What is an ACTS Retreat? An ACTS retreat is a three day and three night Catholic lay retreat presented by fellow parishioners. The retreat begins on Thursday evening and ends the following Sunday at a Mass celebrated with the parish community. Retreats for men and retreats for women are given separately. Talks and activities during the retreat focus on Adoration, Community, Theology and Service, from which the ACTS program acronym is derived. Holy Scripture and the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church are the guides for the retreats. The retreat takes on the traditions and atmosphere of the parish community sponsoring it. The retreat facilitates the attainment of a new or deeper relationship with the Lord through:
Each retreat is conducted by a retreat “team” composed of 20 – 30 individuals who have attended prior ACTS retreats. Chosen by the retreat Director, the team organizes the retreat, conducts the retreat talks and activities, and ministers to the needs of the retreatants during the retreat weekend.
Have you joined our parish, and attended ACTS in a different parish? We would love to have you join our ACTS community! Please email Bertha Enriquez in the parish office so that we can update our records. ([email protected])
St. Ann’s Connections was born from the Diocesan Pastoral Plan that saw a need for more events for families and couples. After doing a survey of our parishioners, we at St. Ann’s decided to partner with a company who would help us to grow some fun, community-building, and skill-building events!
We are calling the events “CONNECTIONS” because we believe that by forming better spiritual connections, community connections, family connections, and marital connections, we can strengthen our faith and life as a whole. Our children are more likely to stay in the Church if we have better connections to it and to the community of faith! Our marriages are more likely to make it through the rough patches if we have a community of Christians to lean on!
Be on the lookout for our monthly events and spread the word to those people who you are connected to, so that we might deepen our “CONNECTIONS” to each other at St. Ann’s and grow the Kingdom of God.

These caring individuals meet the needs of our parishioners at the time of a death and guide them in creating a meaningful funeral liturgy. No special experience is necessary just a willingness to help parishioners in a very meaningful way to honor their loved ones.

Mom's Club meets in the St. Ann's parlor every Friday morning for Coffee Chat, on the 2nd Thursday evening of the month for Monthly Meeting and on the 4th Thursday evening for Mom’s Night Out. We also have several other events for families and even a few just for Mom's sanity! Nursery is available with reservation for mose events.
We love meeting new families inside our community whether you have lived in Midland all your life or were tricked by your husband and flown into Midland in the middle of the night.

The objective of the St. Joseph Ministry is to raise awareness of the many ways Catholics can support children who are involved in the Child Welfare system in our area. We also host a monthly meeting for fostering, kinship and/or adoptive families to support one another in loving these children as well as provide dinners, school supplies and other needs for the families who have opened their hearts and homes to children in need.
Whether you are in need of support, or would like to help support these children and families, contact Patty Pisklak 432-413-4556. Follow us on Facebook: St. Joseph's Ministry of St. Anns

The Widows or Widowers (WOW) group is a ministry where individuals who have lost their spouse can meet others whose life has been changed in the same way. It is not a bereavement group but rather a social setting where men and women can talk and participate in fun activities in a safe, non-threatening environment. We meet once a month for dinner.
Watch bulletin or call parish office for information on our next event.
