Baptism is the first of the seven Sacraments and is how we join the Church and Christian community. It is the first in the three Sacraments of Initiation. There are two processes for Baptism: one for those under the age of 7 (Infant Baptism) and one for those who are 7 and older (Order of Christian Initiation).
Infant Baptism: Children under the age of 7 fall under infant Baptism. In order to baptize their children, parents and godparents must fill out the forms below (or found on the Forms page). Once those forms are fully completed, they must be turned into the parish office. At that time, parents and godparents can be signed up for the required Baptism class. Parents are able to register for a baptism date at that class.
Generally, we do group Baptisms here at St. Ann’s. Parents who wish for a private baptism must meet with a priest or deacon before taking the baptism class. We cannot accommodate all requests.
Las clases para los padres y padrinos preparando por el bautismo de los niños van a estar en el Youth Activity Center, 2005 W. Texas Avenue, en vez de en el parlor/annex, el segundo domingo de cada mes.
Order of Christian Initiation – Anyone aged 7 or older who needs the Sacrament of Baptism goes through the process of the Order of Christian Initiation. Call the parish office or complete the form below for more information.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is also known as the Sacrament of Penance. It is one of the two Sacraments of Healing. In this sacrament, we bring our sins before God in the person of the priest, confess them, apologize for them, and atone for them. Baptized persons usually make their first confession just before their first communion. Catholics are required to go to confession as often as required to confess mortal sins.
Reconciliation is offered every Saturday at 4 pm in the church, Tuesdays 6 pm in chapel (Spanish) and Wednesdays at 5 pm also in the chapel. See Mass and Confession Times.
First Reconciliation is usually celebrated in December of second grade following a two year preparation, which begins in first grade. (Please note- we encourage all children to begin participating in faith formation classes no later than Kindergarten.) Children participate in sacramental preparation classes offered through either Faith Formation (PSR) or by attending St. Ann’s School.
The Eucharist is one of the three Sacraments of Initiation. As St. Pope John Paul II said, "the Eucharist is the source and the summit of our faith." As Catholics, we believe that Jesus meant what He said when He told us it is His Body and Blood. We believe that when we receive the Eucharist, in either the species of the Body or the species of the Blood or both, we receive the fullness of His Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity.
Typically, baptized children receive their First Communion at the end of second grade, after having attended Faith Formation classes for two consecutive years. Please contact the parish office for more information.
Catholics are required to attend Mass every Sunday and Holy Day of Obligation, barring illness. In addition to Mass, we have Eucharistic Adoration all day on Fridays, from 9am to 9pm in the Chapel.
Please join us for worship.

The Sacrament of Confirmation is the second Sacrament of Initiation, celebrated after Baptism. It is the Sacrament by which we are sealed with the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. Watch the video below for a brief description.
High school Confirmation is typically celebrated with young people in the tenth grade. The diocese of San Angelo requires TWO YEARS of preperation. The first year of preparation (typically 9th grade) involves participating in Life Teen. Life Teen is our high school youth group that meets on Sunday’s at 6 pm in the Youth Activity Center (YAC).
Adult Confirmation is celebrated at the Bishop’s discretion. St. Ann’s runs preparation classes twice a year (once in the fall and once in the winter). Each class runs 6 weeks. Contact the parish office for more information.
The Sacrament of Matrimony, or Marriage, is one of the two Sacraments of Service (along with Holy Orders.) A bride and groom must be freely willing to commit to each other and God in this Sacrament.
St. Ann’s Parish welcomes couples who are planning their wedding. Please call the Parish Office to set up an appointment with one of the priests. It is best to call at least six months before the wedding.
St. Ann’s Cana Committee assists the couple in planning, leading the rehearsal and celebrating the wedding liturgy.
In the case of any previous marriages of the prospective bride and groom, no plans should be made before consulting one of the priests.
Holy Orders is the Sacrament by which a man is ordained into the deaconate or priesthood and is one of the Sacraments of Service.
Several men from St. Ann’s have become priests and we encourage young men to go to the seminary if they discern that they might have a call to the priesthood. We would love to celebrate your ordination one day! Call the Parish Office and talk to one of the priests for more information.
Young men, high school aged or older, interested in learning more are also invited to visit the Diocese of San Angelo vocations website.
(Young ladies discerning religious life are encouraged to meet with a priest for more resources.)
The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is one of the two Healing Sacraments (along with Reconciliation). Anyone who is going under anesthesia, suffering from a serious illness (or worsening of an illness), or suffering the effects of old age may ask for an Anointing.
Anointing of the Sick often gets confused with Last Rites. Last Rites is actually 3 Sacraments: Anointing, Reconciliation, and the Eucharist (in the form of the Viatcum–final consumption of the Eucharist).
Call the Office to setup an appointment.
