The purpose of this program is to provide support and friendship after the funeral has ended. The members of this committee show the church’s love and concern for them and their loss and help the suffering acclimate back into life’s normal routines.
We engage parishioners to assist in the need for notification of someone’s loss.
Committee members meet to identify the best way to contact surviving family members and become case workers to reach out and assist the individuals to work through their difficulties. This is accomplished through calls, private and or group meetings. Group meetings are the third Wednesday of the month @ 5:30 in the family room of the Commons. This outreach is intended to make people feel cared for as part of St. Ann’s parish.
