April 6 Update

April 6, 2020
Dear Parishioners:
Let us connect with one another and with Jesus Christ during this celebration of Holy Week! Here are the details:
The Paschal Triduum: The three days of the Lord’s Passion, Death and Resurrection.
Because of COVID19, we cannot gather together in church, but our services will be live streamed on Facebook, our website, and Vimeo. Please forgive any glitches; much of the internet is overloaded these days. Keep on praying! The participation aids for each liturgy are on our website and perhaps other media sites.
Holy Thursday, April 9, 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Lord’s Supper. We remember Jesus’ Last Supper, His institution of the Holy Eucharist and priesthood.
Good Friday, April 10, 7:00 p.m. Liturgy. We remember the passion and death of the Lord Jesus. We venerate his holy cross (you might have a crucifix at home ready for this veneration).
Holy Saturday, April 11, 8:30 p.m. The Easter Vigil. We light the new pascal candle. We keep vigil for the resurrection by reflecting on several readings. We renew our baptismal promises. We celebrate the Holy Eucharist. We sing “Alleluia.”
Easter Sunday, April 12, 10:45 a.m. Mass in English, 1:00 p.m. Misa en Español. We joyfully proclaim the Lord’s glorious resurrection over death itself. We renew our baptismal promises and celebrate the Holy Eucharist—the Risen Christ present in our midst in our own day!
Hay varios partes de las liturgias de Triduo Pascual en español. También en el Domingo de Pascua, celebrando la Resurrección del Señor, la Misa de 1:00 p.m. será completamente en español. ¡Feliz Pascua!
The Divine Mercy Novena, beginning on Good Friday and lasting for nine days until Saturday, April 18. Pray the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy each day. Let’s ask God to protect and strengthen us in the pandemic of COVID 19 and to eradicate the virus from the earth.
