A message from Sr. Elsa
Dear Parishioners of St. Ann’s parish,
To everything there is a time and a season. I will be leaving St. Ann’s June 11, to go on Sabbatical, followed by a new ministry elsewhere. I will be on Sabbatical. I will be utilizing my time to renew myself spiritually, physically and educationally. The Covid-19 pandemic has been very hard for so many people. I have held the pain and heartaches of many in my own heart. This has been difficult for me. I also have had a few health concerns and I need time to renew and refresh.
I am both sad and excited at this time. Sadness at leaving such a great place of ministry and friends at St. Ann’s Parish and the Diocese of San Angelo. Excited at moving into a new role that God is calling me to.
I have loved the spirit here in St. Ann’s and the San Angelo Diocese. I know that God’s love and grace is flowing to and from each person. I have loved assisting you and walking with you as we grow toward a deeper understanding of Church.
My special love is for those who serve the poor. My heart is proud of the volunteers of St. Vincent de Paul Society Conference. These dedicated men and women help poor people know that they are loved and cared for by God and His Church. I have also very much enjoyed walking with the Altar Society of St. Ann’s and knowing that these ladies serve the spiritual heart of our faith- the celebration of the liturgy. Providing opportunities for spiritual growth and greater understanding of our faith to many wonderful people has also enriched me and filled my heart.
I have been enriched by knowing many lovely people and I have been blessed by knowing some of you as good friends. Thank You. I will be studying in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania at La Roche University. I will be attending to my physical health, my spiritual growth and a renewed energy. I ask for your prayers and your continued friendship.
